Associate Professor Szu Hui Ng, Head of the Department of Department of Industrial Systems Engineering and Management, NUS, College of Design and Engineering; and Research Track Leader at Centre for Maritime Studies, National University of Singapore (NUS) has been awarded the Singapore Maritime Institute (SMI) Fellows Award at the SMI Forum 2023 on 6 Nov 2023.

The SMI Fellows Award recognise the individual research achievements, and their role in fostering the growth and development of the broader maritime R&D community through mentoring young and aspiring researchers. The award provides opportunities to expand the researchers’ contributions by providing research seed funding, as well as exposure as technical experts at international and local meetings and conferences for MPA and SMI. The SMI Fellows Award promotes the development and retains senior researchers in strategic R&D areas that are important to Maritime Singapore and to the local Centres of Excellence and Research Institutes.
